I'm running 205R55x16 Conti runflats on 6.5 inch rims on my R56. That's one size over stock. I have absolutely no clearance problems. I suspect the 225R5016 would be OK as well.

Running 205/55x16 Michelins. No problems, and the speedo is closer to accurate than with the original RFs, size looks good, no squirm from a tire that is too fat for the wheel, feels great.

205/50R16 for me....looks good.....slightly more pickup due to slightly smaller size....I think -1.5%...so speedo is still pretty close. Next time I'll go with the 205/55x16 I think. They seem to fit well with no issues according to most everybody. I think thats about +1.5% bigger than stock....so speedo should still be OK. The 55's IMO look slightly better as they fill out the arches a bit more.....

Whichever should be fine as long as there are are no clearance problems.

I run the 215 45 17 during the summer with No issues, for the Winter I have a set of Sport Edition F7s with 205 55 16 snows, the ride is better and I actual like the look better, No clearance problems with either set. I am thinking of putting 205 55 16 Summer tires this year as again the ride is better with not much lost in Handling
