I just removed my factory 2004 S-lites and 205/45/17 run flat tires. Installed new Goodyear Eagle F1's size 215/45/17 from the Tirerack. The factory tires were about a half inch taller than the new ones. However, the tire size calculator I referred to before buying said that the bigger size tires should be 1/3 inch taller. However, clearly the factory tire (mounted on wheels, full of air, unweighted and weighted) is taller. Are the factory tires too big for their size or are the Goodyears too small for their size??

Thanks Alex, I love the new tires and wheels!

My Yokohama 215/45/17's are definitely taller than the stock tires. Tire Rack has specifications listed of actual tire diameters for each model.

We allow only a 3% deviation in overall diameters.

Your diviation in this carse is 2%.
