Are the stock wheels/tires/brakes really that bad or do a lot of people just like to mod their mini's?

A lot of people don't seem to like the runflats very much. They seem to wear easily and sacrifice performance. I'm thinking of switching to non-RF once they wear out and keeping a spare (compact or full-size) in the back. After all, if I needed the storage space I wouldn't go MIni!

Hey mini58

The stock set up is good on the mini and no problems but the after market MOD are better.

In looks, feel, handling but not the prices.

I won our region street tire class with a bone stock MCS with my only change was a set of Kumho MX tires. Actually on the street I didn't notice much difference. I plan on new tires and wheels for autocross only for next year and am going to stay with the stock rims and tires for the street. Personally I thinks a lot of the mods are for making a car a personal thing. I like mine the way it is. Hey, I can only go so fast on the street and a red MCS with white stripes shows up too much to bend the speed laws too much.
