Snap, crack and POP...

...then a long hiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssss!

Yeah my tire met an untimely demise yesterday. Fortunately I was able to change out for the donut and get the tire patched (from inside).

However the 1/2 inch hole was not quite on the threads but not quite on the sidewall. So I'm not sure how long this patch will last and how safe it is. Normally I wouldn't stress it so soon after I patched it but I'm going on a 4-hr trip to Cape Cod with the lady this next week and would hate for something to go wrong.

Anyway, the car is only a year old with only 6k miles. So the tires are still in great condition outside of the patch. Any ideas what I should do? Does MINI have any deals for stuff like this?

Thanks guys!!

You have the donut still, right? It'll be fine.

Its just the reverse of the instructions to get it out. From memory, it'd be something like this: Lay it in the holder (connect valve) under the back, poke the long handle through and attach, pull up with long handle, clip into place (remember to have clip handy) and screw the retaining nut back.
