i did 1 heavy coat for inside, turned them over and then did 1 light coat on front, then 30~ min intervals i did 4-5 coats.
meanwhile... i was cleaning the brake calipers cuz i wanted to paint them.
did 2-3 coats of red caliper paint from autozone.

end result, looks great.
although the calipers do get dirty kinda easy cuz of the brake dust.

here are the pics.

Looks freaking Awesome !

Very nice job

it was an exhausting job, but end results are good id say.

the rims may get another coat to smooth out some imperfections, but right now im dealing with putting in the turboback! so the rims can wait.

am i the only one with flamespoke plastidipped rims?

Not for long I now plan on doing my flamespokes as soon as i find the time.

hopefully they will look as good on my pure silver, black top, and black stripes.

Have you considered spray painting them?

I have rattle caned wheels before with good results but I like the idea of being able to peel it off if I wanted to.

ehh. Ive had alot of experiences with plasti dip but I dont see how itll hold up especially on wheels.

A rock hits it and itll start peeling, go through an automatic carwash and it might start peeling, use anything tough scrubber material on your wheels and itll be peeling.

If youre going to paint your wheels, plasti-dip is a temporary option. If you want it to be permanent, then do it the right way. Prep the **** out of your work, (or sandblast) and paint it properly

I plasti-dipped my grill and the chrome around my lights 6 months ago and it's held up well through quite a few automatic car washes (touchless, so it's a high pressure spray)...

I think im going to try this on my webspokes soon and paint my calipers red, i couldnt see it not holding up for at least 6 months. Will probably last closer to a year
