I am trying to find some winter tires for my 05 MCS. I have the factory V-spokes ( I think thats what they're called) 195/55 R16 tires on it now and I am looking to replace those with winter tires. I don't need runflats and am looking for a something that doesn't cost a lot. I looked on Tirerack but they didn't have hardly any options and discount tire didn't have any at all. Is there a different size I can put on those stock wheels or does it have to be the same size as before? Does anyone have any suggestions.

3rd day I had my car I contacted Alex, and had a great set of wheels and winter tires in 2 days. ( I know you're just looking for tires)
I was straight up with him and just told him I didn't have time to do a bunch of research. Explained the type of winter conditions we have in CT, and how I expected the car to perform, and he set me up.

It finally snowed yesterday, so I was able to check the tires out. They worked just fine.
Everyone seems to have their favorite winter tire, but winter conditions vary with geographic location, ergo your needs may be different than mine. Give Alex a call, or an eMail.

 

try the 205/50R16 size

 

i actually went with 205/55 R16 and they work too. I live in boston too, so I see just as much snow and most people if not more.
