I am interested... We've only been waiting on the release for 2 years (they're a bit late). We asked Kumho about it 2 years ago at SEMA, as it was supposed to debut there.

It's too bad there aren't any more MINI-friendly sizes... This year at SEMA, I'll ask all the tire manufacturers why they aren't making MINI-friendly sizes (save the handful that are).

Great,

The Extreme summer tire competition is more keen than ever, maybe they are being cautious about starting out with certain sizes first and aiming for the track market rather than the street market.

They have to look at buyers willing to pay $100-150 per tire for something that offers good grip but wears fast and at what sizes they might need.

It's interesting they offer 205/50-15 (except for Ventus Rs2) because the other Extreme Summer tire makers don't offer that size, mostly 195/50-15 or 195/55-15.

Some MINI sizes-
205/50-16
205/40-17
215/40-17

I like the look [high contact percentage], and the treadwear rating, but Boooo to the XS tire size selection!

Not a perfect size, but the XS is available in a just-larger 215/45-17. I may pick these up in the spring time.

We'll be sticking with the new RS-3's when they're launched... well, or R888's...

FWIW: 215/45 R17 is the same size fitted to the MINI Challenge cars...
