i'm about to purchase a set of alessio F1s in 15x7 w/ +38 offset. my mcs has stock suspension, and i'd really like to run 225/50s. any chance this size tire will fit?
peace - bodinski.

it will mabey need a fender lip shaving. 225 requires that sometimes, and thats a fairly aggresive offset combination.

thanks for the info, alex. i understand that the mille miglia spider ii comes in a 15x7 +45. going to the +45 should alleviate the fender problem. is it likely, then, to rub the strut? also, can you find out the weight of the spider ii? sorry to be a pain - bodinski.

Et 45 on 15x7 should be a solid fit. 225 and lowering with that offset may rub lower shock perch.

25 LBS a wheel on 17 inch spider II.

I ran 225/50/15's (BFG gForce TA-KD) for autoxing this year on 15x7 Kosei wheels. Not sure of the offset, but even lowered there is no rubbing.

Now -- for performance - not looks -- If I had it to do over again I'd have run 205/50/15's BFG's instead. The 225/50 is a higher sidewall than 205/50, and the car had a tendancy to bounce the front under hard cornering. We had none of this "bounce" when running 205/50/15 Falken Azensis.

thanks for your help, folks. i broke down & ordered a set of michelin pilot h4s in a 195/60/15. i think they'll be plenty wide and will likely ride better than the yokos & dunlops i was looking at.
