EVO Special

Wheel & Tire Package Price comes with 225/40-18 tires. Evo wheels are 4x100
Doesn't say what tires are bundled in that size and for that price.

18", HYPER SILVER w/POLISHED LIP ($869.00) Doesn't say what is the the weight of the rim nor the offset in mm.

Shipping is free only in continental US. Not good for me.

Offer good for a few more days then it is over.

hello minihune
to answer your question about the EVO 18" package.

Yes the package said it come with 18" EVO 18", HYPER SILVER w/POLISHED LIP and the weight of the rim is 19.8 lbs. The offset for the EVO is 42mm.

Tire is another thing. package stated that it come with 225-40-18 tire. but if you
tell them is for a MINI and you wanted to have 215-35-18. It will be the same price
but the bad thing is that, it come with the wanli tire. I think I can use it for about
4 or 5 month and then change it to Yokohama. After I save more money. ehhehehehe

I remember when Mike first got his package from Wheelmax. They didn't include the hubcentric spacers, so he couldn't safely mount them and maintain a balanced rotating assembly. I'm not sure they ever shipped him the spacers that were supposed to be included

Wheelmax gave me the wrong size info for centering hubs,I still don't have the correct size. They charged $40 for balancing, never did.
Try calling the phone number they list for service,it's never answered. My wheels have been in their shipping cartons for 2 months, while I've tried to get answers from these people.

WAIT A SECOND! You gotta run spacers for these wheels to fit? From experiences with my Porsche, wheel spacers are a big no-no.....Anyone care to elaborate on this?

Unfortunately for the Mini you need a wheel spacer for the rims to fit perfectly. I have not changed my wheel yet but I'm in the process of getting wheels. Will let you know once I do.

The MINI uses hubcentric wheels. In order to install the wheels correctly to the hubs, the wheels' hub ID must identically match the OD of the rotor hub. Most aftermarket wheels do not, and therefore the reseller will include an adapter/spacer to fit the aftermarket wheels to the MINI's hub. This is fine, as long as the adapter/spacer is correct.

The other kind of wheel spacer (not to be confused with anything mentioned in this thread yet, but want to clear it up anyway) is the style from H&R, where it's an actual spacer that fits between the hub and the wheel, and does not effect the hubcentricity. Longer bolts are required when using wheel spacers. I have 5mm H&R wheel spacers on my S-lites, with 35mm wheel bolts, and this is perfect. Pushes the S-lites 5mm out from stock, and changes the scrub radius so the car feels more planted.
