White Painted Web Spoke 98
I'd also really like to see photos of some Web Spoke 98 wheels painted white!
I plan to get a quote on painting just the four centers white to complement the white side mirrors on my hyper metallic blue MCS. But it will have to wait until I complete a brake job using the EBC greenstuff replacement pads as I need to see if the leftover black dust is reduced enough that the white will still look good. The quote will need to be much cheaper than purchasing a new set of white wheels.

Seam seal leak in one of my Web Spokes!!!
Guys,
I've developed a leak in the seam between the 2 pieces on one of my web spokes. I'm not a mechanic and don't have a torque wrench. A wheel repair guy and a remanufacturer he recommended won't touch it. I have no spare wheels so it's sitting at the shop. The reman recommended that I take the tire off and run a bead of silicone over the existing silicone myself, which sound easy. But then I'm reading here about re-using the bolts and torquing it just right and blue loctite and such. Now it sound much more complicated!
What should I do?

On the webspokes the center just comes out and the barrel/lip remain. Even with the center piece removed the tire would still be sealed. There is no seam or sealant on the barrel that could be leaking.
If there is a leak in the barrel it sounds more like you have a crack in your wheel which would need to be welded, not sealed with sealant. Wheel repair shops should be able to do that easily and for rather cheap as long as the wheel is round and not too damaged. MINI Dealership won't be able to offer any help.

a couple hours. 14 bolts for each wheel, i wrenched them by hand to make sure or do my best not to strip the bolts.
12 point 8mm bit. also called a "triple box" bit.
28lbs and be sure to use blue loctite.
aside from me curbing them the paint is holding up just fine.
you're welcome

One question, did you spray the inside of the rim as well? Meaning the piece that the tire is still on?

Ok, after much work this weekend, I finally got 3 of the 4 wheels done. Too tired to finish the drivers side front today, so i'll finish it up tomorrow.
These wheels are no joke! It is so hard to get every angle of the spokes. I actually pulled up some of the rubber when i was putting the lugs on..They would twist in the whell and pull up.
