i'm now thinking of putting the R81 white 15 x 5.5 holeys on my mcs when it arrives in late sept/oct. is this possible? will offset and brakes be ok?

if this is ok, i plan to put on es100 205/55's. and i do plan on lowering with h-sport springs.

i figure i'll decrease weight, especially with the white wheels since the lightest 16" is about 15 lbs. plus i'll have a more classic mini look or at least one that's fairly unique. not to mention all the advantages of lighter wheel weight.

anybody got pics of white 15" holeys with lowered suspension?

and one more thing...i plan to change brakes. mainly because of the brake dust issue, i plan to get ebc green stuff pads. and while i'm working on the wheels, i'm thinking of getting the power slotted rotors and possiblly ss brake lines. which basically is the whole brake kit.

i figure if i can save a bit of $$$ on wheels (looking at comp r's or gt1's earlier), i can put it into some brakes. i don't do any track days, only the occasional driving school and fun daily driving. am i crazy to do all this as soon as i get my mcs? or is this on-the-edge sane thinking?

thanks for your input.

The MCS and the MC have the exact same brakes. The 15's should fit with NO problems. Of course, your MCS may be a little quicker off the line, now....

The brake pad/rotor change is an excellent idea. The stock pads are VERY dusty.

Although it isn't too low in price at about $280 per rim, the SSR Comp R 16x6.5" rims are about 11 pounds each and
are quite light. That will save weight and look better than the small 15" wheels. With the 16" rims you can use 50 or even 45 series tires. Might be better to corner than with the 55 series which is smoother and more comfortable for street driving. Your choice. Your budget.

thanks dpayne1 for the pics. i'm still heavily leaning toward the 15" white wheels, particularly the oem R81 holeys, with es100 205/55 or 205/50's. i like the look of your 15's. could you tell me how much did you drop your suspension? i'm planning on lowering with h-sport springs.

thanks
