Offsets!?

Going to pick up a set of 17 x 7 rimes w/ 205/45 tires...but confused about the whole offset ordeal. I read the stock offset is 48, can anyone confirm that? The wheels I'm looking at are only 37mm offset, am I going to have to run spacers? If so, would 5mm spacers be enough, or am I going to have to jump all the way up to 15mm (at least those are the only ones I've seen around)? I'd really rather not have to run spacers if at all possible

Spacers will decrease the offset ... pushing the wheels out and increasing the chances of tires rubbing on the wheel arches.

Unless your MINI is really lowered you should be fine with 17x7 ET37 and 205/45-17.

Well, I'm planning on putting the eibach springs on there. It's not as extreme as the H&Rs, but it does lower it 1.2 inches. Is that going to cause a problem?

Nah, you're fine.

It may rub a tiny bit on bumps and stuff, but the tire will wear out the wheel liner and it won't rub any more.
