Wheels for snow tires

Hi.

I've got an 07 MCS...

I'm moving to snowy Montreal next month, so consequently I'm in need of snow tires.

I've an opportunity to buy used OEM 5 star 'spiders'
like: http://www.autopartsfair.com/mini-wh...item-9624.html

A few questions:
1) What would be a reasonable offer?
2) Would they be compatible with the tire pressure monitoring system?

Thanks so much.

Look through the Wheel/Tire for sale section to get an idea of what 16" stockers with or without tires are going for... You could always get the wheels, and sell the tires that were on them for example.

winter

http://www.nokiantires.com/en/tire_h...?season=winter

I live in Calgary and run these on my 17" s-lites.

They are sweet, haven't met a snowstorm they couldn't handle.

I purchased new wheels from tire rack website for the summer rather than the winter and they were delivered international to my door in less than 7 days, no hidden costs.

Thanks. Ill definitely look into the Nokians...

WRT to the 5 spoke spiders, I've been reading that theyre not an 'approved' wheel for the r56 cooper s due to the big brakes...

However it seems that a good number of people are running them without it seems too much in the way of problems...

Would it "void" my warranty if i mounted the r83 5 spokes?

Thanks,

by the time you get snow tires the snow will have all melted in Montreal. Ottawa was 23 degrees today.
Check the weather and spend the cash on St.Catherine Street

look for a pair of stockers this summer when they will be cheaper. Ebay or Craigslist.

Haha. I was in town this weekend... no snow!

Just hoping to get the rims in advance if I can do it on the cheap!

OK, good deal. we are getting into the time of year that people will start to buy rims and possibly sell stockers. Good luck and enjoy Montreal.
Don't forget to try Schwartz's smoked meat.
