Slipstream offset?

I'm looking to buy a set of 16x7 Slipstream Rota's soon, ie-within a week possibly. But, the place I'm getting them from offers the wheels in 3 different offsets. They have 40, 45, and 48mm. They will most likely get a set of 205/50 Nittos. My question being the same as the post title, what offset is going to be best? This is the place:

I'd go with 40...wider stance but still no need to worry about rubbing.

What about future lowering? Probably not even an inch if I do it how I want.

Should still be fine.....40 is a pretty normal offset for a 7 inch wide wheel

i run 16x7's but my offset is 42mm and im sitting pretty low with 225/40's absolutely NO rubbing ever i'd love to have 40mm offset, i think it'd sit more flush and cleaner than the 42mm... i dunno, maybe im crazy for thinking i can see 2mm

Mine that I bought used are 4X100, 45 offset, 67.1 hub on a stock suspension car with 205/50/16 tires.

If you want 40 offset and concerned about rubbing when lowered, search/ask to see what others have with their setups on 16x7 wheels (doesn't need to be a Rota).

I have a set of slip streams with a 40mm off set. I was running M7 springs (now on coilovers) and have no rubbing issues at all. Tires are Nitto Neo Gen 205/50/16. Pictures in my gallery !
