The fronts, because the have a smaller surface area and are cutting through the snow getting to the hardpack. Who ever said they would like to be ON the snow is obviously thinking like a snow mobile. My rear end on that truck floats, and it is like trying to drive a hockey puck. The weight distributed across the rear tires of that vehicle means that they never cut through the snow, never gain traction, and provide no stability.

I have 215/45/17 Nokian's on my s-lites because with a good 6-7 months of potential snow in Calgary . . . ya still want the mini to look good. We received 14 inches of snow in two hours last week and I was cruisin' . . .

Physics are physics . . . but ya still gotta look good gettin' there.
