16x8 offset 35

saw these for sale locally

16x7 and 16x8 offset 35 (seems like these are meant for E30s)

will it fit?

16x7 with +35mm offset is likely to fit OK. Just go with a tire that is not larger than stock tire diameter. 205/50-16 will work.

16x8 is much wider than stock and +35mm offset is barely enough to clear the MINI suspension parts. You might need wheel spacers but this would push the rim further out. Again smaller tires would be better. 8" rim is heavier than 7" wide rim.

215/45-16 are possible tires for either 16x7 or 16x8 rims-
