E30 rims on minis

Hi,

Just wanted to know if anyone has tried fitting in E30 rims on their minis. I've got a set of AC 16", it looks like it can fit but someone was telling me that it might rub with the arch. appreciate comments. Thanks

you right, i think the ACS rims are 7.5x16 with offset 25. your bbs looks great on the mini by the way. any problems on the wheels rubbing at the arch when going over potholes or speed bums

The e30's offset are 27 on all moderls. The i, is , and the e. However , the E30 ix has a offset of 40 or 42 I am not sure.

In terms of the original poster....if they are in fact 16x7 et 25 (I'm pretty sure they are). Fitting might be a bit rough, but with camber and stretched tires you should be able to make them fit. It is gonna take some work and some arch trimming though. 25 is not the ideal offset for a 7" wheel.

Seems the e30 "ix" wheels have a 40 mm offset. Here are a few examples.

These are 17X7 with a 40mm offset. Pretty cheap on ebay and should fit without any problems.

Not all of them,
my parts catalog at work shows the following sizes for an E30...
14x6 et35
14x6.5 et30
15x7 et24
M3
15x7 et30
16x7.5 et27
ix
14x6.5 et45
15x7 et41

I didn't see either one of those wheels listed for an E30 ix in my catalog, no 17" sizes either.

Hmm... I wonder if my 14" E30 bottle caps with snow tires will fit over my '03 MCS brakes...

there's a good amount of cheap rims with bmw caps on them, at least I've seen a bunch on craigslist.

Are e30 rims even 4 lugs?
