Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3
$135 each 280 treadwear Max Performance Summer tire.
Strong handling wet or dry, stiffer sidewalls, slightly firmer ride than
Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season tires.

Falken Fk452
A much better value Ultra High Performance Summer tire.
Not quite as good handling wet and dry as the GSD3 but good on comfort and overall balance. $86 each 300 treadwear

really??? a lot of forums i read had gs-d3 to be more comfortable than the all season since sidewall is softer....you're really sure about that? anyways...is there a lot of positivfe feedback with falekns from miniowners...

Yes, GSD3 has "softer sidewalls" than other Max Performance summer tires but I meant stiffer or at "least" as stiff as Falken Fk452 but it's difficult to truely compare since they aren't in the same tests together much. Just an opinion. Also note one is Max Performance vs UHP.

Alex mentions Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 as a more comfortable
Ultra High Performance Summer tire. $165 each 240 treadwear
comes in 215/45-17

You might PM owners in this tread about how they like their tire choice-

Some bought GSD3 and another the F1 AS.

The FK452 does not have that stiff of a sidewall, but the ride is very comfortable and quiet. It gives very good wet and dry traction considering we have alot of that here in South Florida. I'm not sure how they would compare to the GSD3 because there really hasn't been a comparison between both tires. I say try to find some reviews and see what tire is really going to complement your driving style.
