They messed up my winter wheel package
For the past while I've been trying to put together a 15" winter wheel package cheaper than the dealerships but using the same stuff (pirelli snowcontrol 175/65/15 on 15x5.5 steelies). I got a great deal on the tires but had to find the rims somewhere else. I eventually did, or so I thought, and dropped them off for mounting and balancing for tomorrow morning. I was just looking over my bill for the rims and it has them listed as 15x6.5 wide. I really hope that this is a mistake since it's not what I ordered (15x5.5).
On the off chance that they are 6.5" wide how will this effect the mounting of the narrow 175/65/15 tire?
I'm pissed and thinking that I have to go and get them exchanged for the 5.5" wide that I had ordered delaying the mounting once again.
Any insight would be appreciated.

just go to tirerack or the manufacturer's website, click on "Specs" and look at the approved rim width range. for 175s it will probably say 5-6", BUT you never know until you check. In general the wider the rim (within approved range) the better the tire is "seated" and the better the grip.
