Anyone here running 18" wheels?
Anyone here running 18" wheels?
I recently purchased a set of 18" Drag DR19's and 4 Kumho 215-35 18 Ecsta SPT's for my MCS. I don't notice all that much difference in the roughness of the ride over my stock 16" run flats. It does seem to spin more on hard accelerations.
Haven't had a chance to take it through any twisty's yet and wanted them to settle in before pushing them.
I appears that many here are running 17" and 205 or 215 -45. I'm pretty ignorant about tires and suspension and could use some advice. I would like to lower the car. Any suggestions? I hope I didn't make a huge mistake?

There's a decent amount of people running 18s on here. Rally pointed you in the right thread. Go with coilovers if you have the money. If not, m7 springs would bring you down a good enough amount.
I'm also Running 18s and just got it dropped with H-Sport springs. If you want my advice... save money and skip the springs and get your self a good set of Coilovers with camber plates (more control over the adjustments overall)

Your Right RallyMINI, that is a great post to look at. I did find post regarding 18 inch wheels by typing in "18 inch wheels" but you found "THE POST" to look at.
I too run 18 inch wheels with 215/35/18's but I feel that size of that tire size makes for a very ruff ride IMOP. I also run a set of 16 inch rims with 205/50/16's for the twisty's and long drives and find that it's hard to put my 18's back on because of the comfort I get with the 16's. I will say that the 18's look really nice with my drop (M7 springs). To do it over again, I would have bought 215/40's insted of the 215/35's.

Actually no....."18" is too short to be used in a search
