Yep, there's a shop near me called Custom Wheel Service where all they do is create and modify wheels. I was afraid that the powdercoating in that area would look ugly after the enlarging but he touched it up and you can't tell the difference.

On the Konigs they drill pretty easily. I use the right sized bit, place the wheel on a firm but insulated surface and then drill. LARGE capacity electric drill does the trick. Takes about 1-2 minutes per wheel. Looks clean too! So all of that to say, don't stress about it and just do it!

I'm kinda nervous taking a drill to these wheels. Thay are not cheap! Plus they are forged and rare so I'd really just rather pay someone who knows what they're doing! I've installed all my mods myself so im plenty handy with tools but one little mess up and there goes my wheel. Now the tricky part, finding a mechanic in town who's willing.

I want my 235s back on! I've been running stock wheels and tires since I removed the studs and they suck so bad! Haha

i'm thinking about getting these exact same wheels for my dark silver/white roof/white mirrors '04 Cooper S. do you still like them? is cleaning them a pain or not too bad? can you put run-flats on them?

Just put a new set of Focal F05's on my JCW Clubman. Loving how the look, and the fact that I can now easily clean the red brake calipers!

ME TOO! ugh...I've had a set of wheels and tires for months waiting to be put on, but I can't decide what to do about the whole 14mm->12mm thing.

Originally I was going to have a machine shop drill them out for me, but then I decided I'd just go with a stud conversion kit. But people have told me not to do that...

So now I'm back to the drilling idea.....I'd love to just do it myself, but I'm sure I'll find a way to screw it up....

what's the reason for not going with studs?

I've looked through the pages and gave up at xxx amount. I didn't see 15's with taller and wider rubber set-up. I kinda like the old school look. If anyone has them can you please post or repost?

Thanks in advance.

FYI 15's won't fit on your car.

Found a gen 1 with 15's on page 287. Any difference between gen 1 and 2 that 15's won't fit gen 2?

Second gen MCS's have larger brakes that won't allow most 15" wheels.

Thanks man! That was actually my first guess. I came up empty with search.

I got to reading more of the thread, it seems some are elitist. The real deal and replicas. Word "Enthusiast" is being questioned. So much things have changed .
