On a sparkling silver? Not the time attacks. Black/red does not play well with Sparkling Silver.

Might not be that bad. I have Red Calipers, Black Wheels, Polished lip on my sparkling silver Clubman and it actually isn't bad. Don't know about with a red lip though?

To me, sparkling silver =/= fast color. It's the classy, subtle silver. Black wheels with red trim on the lip, aside from being horribly played out, is for making your car look fast, or for making it look like a track car (IMO of course). They're just at odds with each other in my head.

I like yours with the polished lip though. I don't know how I feel about the red brakes against that color, but all in all it looks pretty good

Is the machined lip on ASA AR1s really shiny? I'd get those wheels if it wasn't for the shiny bright lip....looking for a more subtle mesh look. Maybe i could just paint them a duller silver.

3) Rota Boost -

Get this one....aside from the classic look it has only 4 bolt holes.
Having more than 4 bolt holes just looks wrong.

Hope this helps...

you could always say they (extra holes) are speed holes that make the wheel lighter!!!!!

Isn't the sparkling silver that kinda beige silver? I've seen several colors that don't work with that, and red is one. The silver-beige isn't in that black-silver-white "performance color" family to me. Sorry... that's of course IMHO, YMMV, etc...

To be sure, head on over to TireRack's site and select the color, put the red lips on (or photoshop...)

thanks for the responses - I'm not sure I want a red lip to be honest and it's unfortunate that tirerack doesn't have sparkling silver on their drop down menu - go figure!

here's what I'm working with to help w/ suggestions:

Lazy, it's your Mini, do what you want.

However, since you're soliciting opinions, I say go with the Zero. If only for something different. Feathers are getting to be played out too much, and the Rota's 6 spokes look too JDM for my taste. But hey, it's your car. Do. What. You. Want.

Now that I look at it... if it were me, I'd look hard at some Rota D2s in Bronze w/ a polished lip for Sparkling Silver. You've already blacked out the chrome, though. So scratch that.

Elbrus and OZ Racing

17x7 O.Z. Racing Superturismo GT Bright Silver

And 17x7.5 Elbrus I04 BDC ICE

Tires are Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2. I have a place for a spare (donut) under my rear seat delete.

And I know there is wheel gap, but I have to deal with some crazy speedbumps...

My suggestion:Rotas or the similar looking ASA AR1's. This is JBcola's clubby over in Belgium.

More pics here

I dunno, that speedbump looks pretty tame compared to some places I've been :P

Hey Konky, new setup looks great. What suspension were you running when you had the RY-II's? I'm hoping to get my RY-II setup similar sometime.

Because SO many Minis have Konig Feathers, I had to do something to be different.
