Another MINI owner gonna rock RS's.....guess I really started something
If anybody is interested, I think there are a set of 15x6.5 for sale in the washington, dc craigslist for $1,300 including Kumho Ecstas...not sure if the centerbore works with Mini...
Centerbore will be slightly too big (will be true for all 4x100 RS's and RM's) ...57.1mm rather than 56.1. Too big, but small enough that you can't run hubcentric rings....it's the same hub-bore that mine were.
That price is also way too high for a set of 15" RS's with stock lips (6.5"). For 200 more I'll sell newly refurbished ones with aftermarket custom widened lips and gold plated bolts

As much as I like the RS (old school) look, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm no longer going with the RS look. The shop convinced me the RS face design is hard to clean and more importantly will cover the BBK/cross drilled setup. So they will put a different face design instead.
Also, as much as I wanted to have staggered setup (17x8f, 17x9r) is not going to happen as well. Due to MINI's front wheel drive, the performance/handling will be an issue and moreover, problems will rise in the long run. So they will custom make 17x8.5 all around instead.
PGT did you get to pick up Nate's HRE's? They look SICK
yes and thank you. we went back and forth about how to finish them and they're nothing if not unique (love it or hate it ). I also picked these up on Friday:

SSRs, nice. Given the diameter (and the pic) I'm guessing this is for the track/auto-x.
yep. these were super rare....16x7.5 - most SSR's were 16x6.5 for G-Stock in the SCCA. Finding 7.5" wheels in 17 is rare, let alone 16's. I think they weigh 11lbs each. I ran them with the Azenis that came with them but am going to order some 225/45 Yokohama A048's instead.
