me? or Mach V Dan?

My RV-F's are 17x7.5 ET42. With a 215/45 RE01R and -1.5R camber, just a touch of rubbing evident by shiny stripes on teh tires (not enough to worry about trimming)

I was reffering to mach V dan....but your setup sounds pretty good too I get the little shiny lines too when i load up too much in the back seat on big trips. Not too big of a deal though

The Blitz wheels are +42. But I don't know if I'm going to be running them. I can't afford to keep pulling wheels off the shelf and putting them on the car!

What size and brand, and what did they cost? I'm looking for white wheels (I know they'll be a bear to keep clean, but that's what goes with my color scheme best...)

Oh!

So they are. Never mind, then.

Anyone know where I can get a set of Rota Vectors?

They are Exel BK7s from WheelMax, 17", and are $403 for all four. I got a set of Akebono ceramic pads for the front to keep the dust at bay. The Akebonos are very much dust-free, and will work great with the white wheels. I recommend them! Good price, fast turnaround!

Nice Choice.

i'm also thinking of going the Ray direction. A set of the new Volk CE30 17 x 7.5.

As you have been thru this path before, could you please shine some light on how the Volk's centrebore matches with the mini's 56.1mm centre bore?

Thanks

it doesn't. hubcentric rings are needed, as with pretty much all aftermarket rims including BBS.

I have Volks and I also have two sets of hubcentric rings if youre interested. The outside diameter is 65mm.

WOw I just looked up the Work EMotion XT7...you can get them in 18x7.5 in 4x100 and +42 offset....they look sweet....custom colors available too for an extra charge. Found some weight info:

Work Emotion Forged 17x7.5 15.3 lbs
Work Emotion Forged 17x8.5 16.2 lbs
Work Emotion Forged 18x7.5 16.7 lbs
Work Emotion Forged 18x8.5 17.4 lbs

Ok, thanks.

BTW, what offsets did you go with?

Thanks, but not quite yet. Only if my dealer can't get hold of any.

What is the best brand for hub centric rings?

And also, what offset are you using with your Volks?

mine were 16x7ET42 I think. Either 40 or 42. Seems to be the best all-around from the half dozen wheels I've had on the car.

Forgot to ask...how much do they weigh? I tried a web search but weight is never listed for these wheels.

For the RE30, i'm getting 17s and the width that comes in 17inch is 7.5

I will be reusing my 205/45/17 Toyo T1-R tires.

I'm worried the 205 width tire might look stretched over the 7.5 inch wheel.

Do you have this problem?

check Toyo's specs for treadwidth. you'll be able to tell how much stretch there will be. I had 215's on a 18x7.5 and it was square (Yoko Parada Spec-2)

RE30's are nice. Where are you getting them? I can point you to someone I've dealt with before that's good.

Ok.
I'm really hoping to reuse my T1-Rs. They are only 1900kms old!

I'm actually located in Malaysia. So i will be dealing with a local dealer or try to get them from Singapore, which ever is the cheapest.

Thanks very much though for the offer, appreciate it.

My Volks are 17x7.5 with +40 offset. I also have 215/45/17's and no rubbing.

I got the rings on my car from Alex @ Tire Rack. They are really nice black colored (maybe anodized?) aluminum rings I believe are meant for SSR wheels. I should have taken a photo of them before I put them on. The other two sets I have are natural aluminum and are from Upgrade Motoring, but I think their source is Mackin Industries.

What brand of tires are you using?
And are your side walls perpendicular to the road?

I'm hoping my 205 will not be stretch on the 7.5inch wheel!

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's. Yes perpendicular....as far as I know. I did not consciously add any camber.

you'll be fine. 195 on a 7.5" wheel would stretch a bit. Besides, a little stretch never hurt anyone
