Does anyone know the id of the hub for a Spoon SW388 wheel (16 4x100 os45). I want to buy a set of hub rings for these wheels, can't find the spec anywhere, my micrometer doesn't go this big and I don't trust a tape.

I did find that if you use a torque wrench on the lugs they will center perfectly without the rings (small vibration gone) but I want to do it right.

The Cooper S hubs are 56.1? or is it 56.15?

Also, is it possible to get these in aluminum (if so where?) or do they only come in plastic?

Thanks in advance!!!

this is a critical measurement, since MINI uses hubcentric wheels!

Thanks Alex:

You wouldn't happen to have the Spoon specs there in that database would you?

Do you think I should bother with plastic hub rings?

Forged wheels and plastic hub rings?

Or should I have a shop machine me a set out of aluminium?

The Spoon is not a wheel I have data available on. The main diffrence is durabity in installation. A plastic ring is much easier to pinch and damaged when bolting on.
IMO, aluminum would be better from that standpoint, but as a centering pilot, plastic or alluminum will function identically.

try contacting these guys
http://www.ipsracing.com/manufacturers/spoon/index.html

their a US dealer for Spoon. if i were to guess, i bet the native bore for the wheels is 73mm, but check with IPS to make sure.

another option is to take it to a tire/wheel shop and have them look at it. they'll probably have something to fit, since the MINI center bore is similiar to the Honda Civic.
