The only thing ugly here is your negative attitude towards the R56.

I warning you, don't continue to drag these helpful threads into the mud.

No but Tire Rack could have at least sent Brad Pitt over there shirtless to do the install

disclaimer: The above opinion is not meant to call the R56 ugly - just referring to past discussions regarding some people's negative opinions regarding the R56's styling.

OK, don't get defensive Skiploder. If you have to blame someone, blame me because I brought the R56 up first. But as you can see, it wasn't a slam... my post and everything after it has been a lighthearted joke. There's no mud here... nothing to see here... move along!

OK, now back on the topic of Tire Rack...

I think that Alex should change his name to Rick so we can call him Tire Rick. Discuss. ROFL.

In all seriousness, I ordered snow tires from Alex for the winter of 2005 and I received excellent service.

Yeah, but man...I get that customer service is a tough act these days, I do.

But there are a handful of people that act like life (their life, anyway) is perfect and nothing every goes wrong and God forbid a couple of tires get misrouted and the world is going to come to an end if they don't appear instantly and everyone involved doesn't start turning cartwheels to pass the time until they appear.

Life: stuff happens. How well you get along in life is 99% dependent on how you deal with that stuff.

The shipper clearly made the mistaker here - UPS puts the number and address on the box, that's how the guy 40 miles away had the number to call the customer's g/f.

TR stepped up and made up for UPS' mistake by scrambling to get UPS to right their wrong. A LOT of companies out there these days will tell you "Here's your tracking number, call UPS and have at it." TR did better than that AND they refunded the difference in shipping.

Honestly, if this is worth losing sleep over I'd love to have the lives of those who are so tweaked out. I'm amazed.

*Note: this post was written following a few martinis so it may be moderately incoherent.

I have no issue with your comment.

I have an issue with Jerry. He's hell bent on slamming the R56 everytime he gets a chance and I'm just sick about it!

I've tried PMing him and all he does is send me filthy pictures of himself (I can forward them to you if you wish). He's ruining my time spent here and I'm just very frustrated.

Well I got your back on the R56 thing.

The rest of the stuff you're on your own.

I can find an appliance junkyard somewhere, I guess...

Some people do that type of thing to get a rise of others. Don't take the bait. There is a difference between joking around a bit and harrassing. Perhaps the anti-R56 discussion has amounted to harassment by some people in the past, but in this particular thread, the wrong tree has been barked up.

Now that is a different story. Abuse of the PM system is also against NAM Site Guidelines:
2. RESPECT
When posting, both members and vendors must ALWAYS be respectful of fellow members and vendors. Personal attacks and flames will not be tolerated. If you feel you are being attacked, report the post or private message rather than replying or flaming back.

4. CLEAN
Do not post explicit, obscene or vulgar language and do not solicit or offer explicit, X-rated, or similar content. Use of the private messaging system in this way is also prohibited.
(Note that I added the bold for emphasis).

The best way to deal with people (ANYONE) who violates the guidelines is to not respond, not retaliate, and just report it. If it is serious and/or blatant to warrant action, we will deal with it. No special treatment, no favors. The rules are for everyone.

Thanks - I sent him a PM demanding that he be a little more civil. Hopefully, he'll see this thread and start acting a little more mature.

The JCW wheels are nice but pricey. Hopefully I will be upgrading from the stock wheels and tires soon. RF's suck

Okay Playing nice, read a book about saving the Popes life once and gained allot of historical insight into that church. Viagra, haven't tried it. Battle of the Bulge was ugly, we lost many Americans there.
Crabby, poopy, hey you insulting me? You disn me? Get in line. This discourse is in relation to a certain unhappy customer of theirs that had a boo-boo on her order that had the BF in a tizzy, I was just trying to help the chap out really
Giving the lady $25 bucks and a pat on the *** always worked for me, whats this world coming to?
It's all about alliances on here, ya just never know do ya?

vendor defender not, strings not, no stickers here.

What's up with that?

I'd be flattered if a lady did that to me. I always get slapped.

4. Install the new tires - No
5. Detail the car - No
6. Clean the home - No.

What would have been nice:

1. Drop everything and find tires
2. Pay for overnight or 2nd day shipping

See how easy it is?
Regardless of whose fault it was it wasn't the CUSTOMER'S fault.

If TR screwed up they should bend over backwards and eat it.

If the shipper screwed up TR should bend over backwards and take it up with the shipper.

In either case it's definitely NOT the CUSTOMER'S fault and TR should make good on the expectation (and that includes the product and the service). I know many times availability and ability to get the product have everything to do with the choice in where to purchase. There are a lot of other options out there and I'm sure this experience will effect this customer's next purchase decision. Oh - and crying about margins doesn't usually keep customers when there are other options out there. It's just pathetic.

Just my two cents out of the blue.

How dare you sir. I have met XBook. I have heard about his girlfriend. To imply that she would cheat on him is uncalled for. All she wanted was some tires and a slap on the *** for $25.

The word "respect" becomes befouled when issued from your lips.

Get off of it Jerry. While I don't agree with TR's service we all know Xbook's girlfriend to be a nagging harpy. The fact that she's your sister is beside the point...

There's your M.O. in a nutshell - crap all over the thread and then kiss up to the moderator when someone exposes you. Give it up Jerry, there not buying your nice guy act anymore.

And yet you keep coming back and taking the time away from your Ford F150 test drive.
It's between 7 and 9 PM - are they now letting you post from your AA meeting?

PM's are nice. But how about returning my phone calls. At least the next morning?
Pay your phone bill, get your service reinstated and then maybe we can chat on the phone.

The problem is, everytime we try to talk about this, you begin ranting about Lyndon Larouche, Scientology and 9-11 conspiracies. Promise me we can actually discuss our differences and I'll make an effort this time.

Gang Bang!!!
Grow up.
