Vehicle is a Gen 1 Mini Cooper S, built in October of 2006 in Oxford, UK. The slicktop color is the same color as the body. The vehicle also has a rear fog light and the Chrono pack - fuel, oil & temp guages in the center cluster / speedometer and tachometer located above the steering wheel. Power / Drivetrain consists of a W11 Tritec 4 cylinder with an Eaton M45 supercharger (coated) connected to a 6 speed manual Getrag transmission. Interested in your Black Mini, need some details.

Hello, Can you tell me the date and mileage of the New clutch / flywheel & rear main seal, as well as the tires dates and brake kit mileage?

Any bubbling rust showing on the body, especially by the tail lights or door bottoms? Rust on the underside of chassis? Any body damage or repaints?

Any notable suspension maintenance in the last 17 years? Does it have LSD?

Please post the October Dyno sheet 2017 showing 190hp at the wheels.

Windshield chips/issues?

Thank you.

Just curious here. Why does everyone block their license plate when posting pictures when they drive the same car daily in public?

Good question. Your plate can be looked up and people can learn more information about you than you probability want pure strangers across the globe to have. The likelihood of someone sending you a birthday cake is low, so best not to let that kind of stuff hang out there.

Big brake kit was installed in 06/20 (113,947). Clutch (Valeo Single Mass from Detroit Tuned) and rear main seal was installed in 10/22 (125,556). Tires were installed in 06/23 (130,867). No rust that I'm aware of. The mini had a recall for the door sill rust, which was handled back in 05/16. No body damage or repaints - though there are some rock chips on the front hood (and they were there when I bought the car). No rust under it. No known suspension maintenance - other than the strut tower brace I installed. It does not have an LSD that I am aware of. No windshield issues. The images on this post are current and show the car as it is.

Thanks for the information. After some thought......The lack of LSD is a bummer.(though it would probably worn out by now at 133k) The fact the stock engine has been running high boost for 60k miles and the car still retains the stock suspension makes your price hard to swallow. (A strut tower brace is not maintenance) The passenger side motor mount looks pretty worn as well. Also, since it had a prior rust repair that makes it hard to believe there isn't rust bubbling up somewhere currently.

There is a very good chance this car will require major motor and suspension service soon. I'll pass. Best of luck with your sale. My advice is to parts out the car if you really want more than $6000 for it.

At no point did I say a strut tower brace was maintenance, you can look in post 1 for all of the maintenance performed - which includes the dreaded 100k mile service - so I'm not sure what you mean by major motor service will be required soon. A Strut tower brace and plates do help protect the car from mushrooming where the shocks are and also help stiffen the ride. Stock engine running high boost for 60k? These mods are very mild compared to other Mini's and unless you're racing everywhere you go, you're not using all of that power. This car is in excellent shape and has been very well cared for compared to other similar gen / mile cars. ALL Gen 1 Mini's had a recall for rust repair. Also considering for a 17 year old car, this ran less than 10k miles a year. Thanks for looking. .

Reviving this thread. Is your car still for sale? I am very interested!

Edit: I apologize for the redundant reply’s… auto-moderator was restricting my replies and has now unleashed them all at once.
