OK, 96,000 kms = 59,652 miles. Also, $12,900 CAD = $10,087 USD at current exchange rate. Despite cost whether high or not in these crazy days of BaT pricing, the car looks nice but too far from me.
Curious though about pic #11: "Attention - John Cooper Works Sport break installed". Um, really???

I have had a few people PM me regarding importing the car from Canada. I’m not an expert at this but do know a very competent customs broker with access to transport. I met him when exporting our Mercedes to Seattle on behalf of a buyer. Process was in my opinion very smooth and not over the top expensive. For the Benz it was 570 delivered across the border to Blaine Washington. Buyer then took the paperwork into a DMV office and registered it in his name. Hope that sheds a bit of light.

Wow, what a great JCW! Aero kit, monochromatic paint throughout (not a huge fan of different colored roof/mirrors etc.), single mass conversion with an LSD already installed, and only one dent to take care of? Definitely a car I'd consider. If it was green I'd already be looking for my passport! But even still, it's very nice in Dark Silver. I've owned a Canadian market 840Ci, 740i Sport, and two other Euro delivery BMWs with the special med kits and warning triangles etc. I always thought it was cool to have a Canadian or Euro market car.
Being a December 2004 build (2005 MY), would this JCW kit have been factory installed or dealer?

I did also hear the same about Mercedes regarding compliance letters so I went into it a bit sheepish. But ultimately it was very easy to acquire and I had it 5 business days later. I have owned many Coopers over the years and of those a few had been imported from the US due to lack of supply from the info I received from a few sources. So effectively they were bringing in brand new units to supply demand. The JCW kit on this was in fact dealer installed and kiit was installed by a dealer on Vancouver Island as thats where the car resided for its life. I think it's a very unique car being an Island boy for many years you just wouldn't see too many JCW's with Aero kit and all the carbon bits running around. I can tell you driving it over to the mainland I received a lot of thumbs up and seen our fair share of rubber necker's. I personally enjoyed the acceleration you get from the single mass clutch and the exhaust pops on deceleration kept a smile on my sons face.
Fair price for the car.... nice looking details and most of the things that many people are looking that are 'hunting' for a Gen-1 JCW.
What a great car for less than a used Kia !!
The blemish on the hood should not dissuade.... any decent PDR specialist and a careful touch up can make that all but go away.
And low miles for the car at 96,000km... (<60k-miles)
