Lost a Bushing...What do I do?

Heres the short version of a very long story:

I have misplaced one of the bushings to my brand new 22mm Progress rear sway bar. What do I do now? Can I use the one on the car? Or can I order it from Progress?

I can't believe I lost it!!! mad:

Thanks in advanced.

You have to have both bushings in place. For a quick fix you may be able to find some at a local auto parts store, go for a 7/8" as that is equal to 22mm. If you are not in a hurry you can probably get some from energy suspension or prothane. It won't hurt to drive it without the swaybar connected, just disonnect one or both of the links and watch out for understeer.

D'oh! I just got back from the auto parts store! lol

Thanks for the advice. I'll run back down there and pick one up.

Thanks slvrmni!

Got the bar installed last night. I LOVE it!!! But I have a question.

I believe I have it on the stiffer setting - I think. Its in the OTHER position than the one in this picture. Its a 22mm bar, but I can't even induce over steer. I tried to break the back end loose and I just couldn't get it to go! I can tell it closer....much less under steer, but still, I was looking for some over steer.

Do I have it on the stiffest setting?

Thanks

Real simple solution to oversteer with a 22mm bar.

LIFT.

yeah a real simple way is to lift off the throttle while starting your turn in...

btw... make sure you have plenty of room for correction after you start this... lol

That is the softer setting. Think of the bent portions of bar as lever arms. Stiffer=Shorter arms.....Softer=Longer arms...

In my post I said it was in the OTHER position than the one in the picture. I have it on the one closer to the front of the car. If you were standing on the drivers side, its on the left setting.

I did some turns in a parking lot, pretty fast turns, and I was having SUCH a hard time breaking it loose. When I gas it, it plows, when I lift, it slides a little. Maybe I was expecting too much?
