A question about shocks and ride height

I was looking around and my car syas it has the "sport suspension". Now, is this an option that was available after the fact or do all minis come with this setup? If it is different, would if effect ride height by switching them out with OEM replacements? Thanks for all repsonses and I hope this can be answered soon.

'Sport suspension' is OEM, and an option on the Cooper, but standard on the S. No change in ride height. IIRC it changed the sway bar diameter, and possibly the spring rates. I believe the shocks were the same - they definitely did not alter the ride height.

Thanks Eric! I was asking for future reference for when the inevitable blowout happens and I need new shocks!
