Just browsing around, found this strut tower brace on www.1320autos.com

Anyone have any experience or opinions of this strut tower brace. Looks like it might help with the mushrooming like an M7. TIA.

It is the strut brace made by Forge Motorsport in the UK: http://www.forgemotorsport.com/conte...oduct=FMMINSBF. Before M7 came out with their own, the Forge was one of the few strut braces recommended by Randy (maxmini) of M7. It has a nice MINI logo engraved on the crossbar. I heard that Forge was forced to stop production because they didn't ask MINI for permission to use the logo! There are photos of the brace on maxmini's car: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...83&postcount=3
It was meant for the S (has "Mini Cooper S" engraved on it) but I have an MC convertible which has a more sloped hood than an S. When I saw one on eBay, I e-mailed Forge about whether it would fit an MCC and they assured me it would as long as I use a Cooper low-profile battery cover (which I have). So I bought it off eBay but when I tried to install it the hood wouldn't close
! I still have it and it doesn't fit my car. If anyone is interested in buying it please PM me.
