A rear swaybar is a frequent addition to an AutoX car as it helps promote rear-end rotation. I would consider getting an adjustable one (with the 3 holes on the end or a sliding model like Randy Webb's or the one from Ireland Engineering) so you can dial it back for your day-to-day driving.

I've got the H-Sport Comp bar on my car and I'm loving it. I leave it set on the softest setting most of the time for day-to-day driving as it is more agressive than most aftermarket rear-swaybars out there.

If you have jackstands and basic hand tools, the install is fairly easy and should take you about 2 hours your first time through... 1 hour or less if you have done it before.

How-to from Randy Webb: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ead.php?t=4372

How-to from Outmotoring: http://outmotoring.com/How_to_rearswaybar.html

A video how-to I created a while back at a wrench-a-thon in my driveway (not perfect w/ the termanology, but it's a great overview): https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...o+rear+swaybar

19mm H&R... bar none... How punny!

I've run the 19mm H&R for 3 years now... The nice thing is that the bar allowed me to grow into it - and, as I made other changes, it's been a great match. With the current setup, it's still perfect. I've never wanted more, at any stage of suspension development.

IMHO, way, WAY too many people out there are running way too big a rear bar...

I'm one of 'em, but I liked the Zerk fittings so I could lube the bushings without removing the bar. I also got a killer deal on it from a special that H-Sport was running at MOTD 2006.

The Texas Speed Werks guys (txwerks) know a heck of a lot more about suspension setups than I do...

And I like the 22mm on full soft.
YMMV.

Just ordered my 19mm H&R after reams and reams of post reads on this subject (99% street use), bonus of this bar well mostly the fittings is there is no lube necessary as they use an exclusive urethane/Teflon bushings

I have a 22mm diameter sway bar. Setting for street is middle. Difference is obvious; even for street.

I like the H&R's bushings - which never need greased.

And, the 19mm H&R works with everything from OEM to a full race suspension...

I have an Alta bar. It came with 3 holes..I thought it was only going to have 2...bonus
I set it to the stiffest setting and I love it.

Quick question- If you add camber plates (I would like -2) do I or should I back off on the rear bar? And why?

Sorry, I didn't answer your question
No I dont grease it. When I put it on, I wraped a little teflon tape (thread tape for pipes) around the bar before putting on the bushings. 10.000 miles and all is well

It somewhat depends on what your rear camber and front and rear toe will be set to... But, yes, in general you'll find the car very tail happy and twitchy with that bar set to full stiff...

My rear camber is -1.5 with 0 toe. I would like -2.0 camber front with a very little 1/8 total toe out.
If I do this should set the swaybar to the middle setting? I like the way it handles now. The reason I want camber plates is that when I hit a corner hard (like a freeway cloverleaf) the front outer tire feels like it would be the first to break free. Would camber plates do the job.
SORRY BOUT THE HI-JACK
