Suspension bushing grease
bushing grease
I have an h-sport rear swaybar with the zerk fittings and I need to grease them. Does anyone now where I can get a grease gun to fit the nipples and what type of grease I need
I suggest this grease:
You can get the grease gun at most local auto parts stores.
Lucas X-tra Heavy Duty Grease

You can find it at Original Parts Group's website.

Good Luck!
Sorry if this is a dumb question: Is this grease gun coupler in the photograph what y'all use to mate up to the zerk fitting? Or is there a special zerk adapter that I need? Thanks in advance!
Yeah, that coupler will snap into the zerk. I haven't found an easy way to get the coupler off the zerk when you're done, though.
Honestly, I'm not really sure the zerk does much. When I did mine, all the grease leaked out between the mount and the bushing instead of between the swaybar and the bushing. To really re-grease it, you need to remove the mount and put the grease on by hand.

I'm a little bummed as the zerks have let me on two previous attempts. It is for this reason that I started this thread:

That said, I'm going to try using a grease gun again this weekend, and might even get the above recommended Lucas grease...

I'm not one of those people.
Hope the Lucas grease and the grease gun works out!

The polyurethane mounts can be loosened to re-grease without removing the entire sway bar, correct? Any lithium grease should be fine (won't corrode the polyurethane)?

Edit/Add: Decided to tackle this today (Fri), and once again utilization of the Zerk fittings did not work as the lube gushed-out between the bracket and bushing, not bar and bushing. I removed the brackets and bushings, lubed them, and re-installed. I cleared-out the passageway in the bushing hoping that might have been the culprit, I tried again afterwards, and the brackets still oozed lube. Drat.

I know where the bushings are, but I don't know exactly where to direct the grease.
