Suspension change to new nuts when installing strut bar?
SuspensionSprings, struts, coilovers, sway-bars, camber plates, and all other modifications to suspension components for Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
hi
i bought a dinan strut bar used for my 03 cooper s. can i use the original nuts that are on the strut tower, or do they need to be replaced with new ones?
thanks
dan
I see absolutely no reason those nuts should be changed when installing a strut bar. If you are worried about it go ahead & change them or hit them with a bit of blue Locktite. My strut bar has been on there for 9,500 miles using the original nuts with no problems.

I agree! I reused the original nuts 20,000+ miles ago. I've checked the torgue several times with no lossening at all.
