comfy rear control arms?
02 MCS, sittin on Hsport springs.
I have been doing lots of reading about adjustable rear control arms. Several complaints about a harsher ride, etc.
What would you recommend for a street only car, which sees A LOT of miles each year?
I had a set of Alta lower Control arms, but sold them before installing. (needed cash). But the more i inspect my rear tires, and the longer I drive, the more i see the tire life shortening.
Soon will be time for winter tires, so im in no major rush, but before i replace my summer tires next spring, Id like to put some new control arms in the back
No track days (aside from some trips down the 1/4 mile...)
what would you recommend for comfort and decent life

I noticed zero degradation in ride with my Ireland upper and lower control arms - poly, not heim joints. If you change the rear strut bushing atop the strut assembly to poly, the ride will degrade.
The bushings are not that big in the stock arms and are fairly stiff to begin with.

Installed the H-sport lower control arms. Little difference in the ride, but now I need a 4 wheel alignment. Once I get that down & some new rubber, I'm sure I'll feel a much smoother ride... I'll keep you posted on any details.
You can also do a search and find a bunch of info on the lower control arms...

dude, that would be awesome. Judging by your sig, we have more to talk about. specifically the OBX and MTH questions

Where in toronto are you located? be cool to meet up. And I will almost definatly be at the GTG at the end of Sept.

same handle, same person!
im sure i'd be there at the cruise at the end of september.. (at least ill beg if i have to)
I've just installed upper and lower H-Sport (like the Ireland) control arms... no difference in ride for my daily driver....I did not go with the heim joints...from what I've read they're more suited to the track. It stands to reason that a joint consisting of all metal is going to transmit more sound and vibration than one with some type of rubber/urethane bushing.
