02-06 S and non S springs are all the same size, just different rates.

Really??
I thought the sport suspension plus springs, in addition to the higher rates, also gave a slight drop in comparison to the standard sport suspension.

Ride height on both models is measured from a control point on the strut tower to the bottom of the rim. The only variation model to model is due to larger rim sizes. For example in the front 15" wheels 660 mm. 16" wheels 673 mm, 17" wheels 686 mm. My source of information is the Bentley Manuel page 300-6.

I don't know about the '06 models but I put the springs/struts/shocks from an '05 MCS SS+ on my wife's (early) '05 MCC and it dropped her car about 1/2 inch. I think the car handles much better on the AX course than with the original stock MCC suspension also - the reason I did the mod to begin with.
