Suspension Just got my alignment done today!
Just got my alignment done today!
After install the Koni FSD + HSport springs + Ultrick Control arms, I finally bring my MCS to do the alignment today.
It was done by one of the best garage in Montreal "Campell Garage". The owner/tech is just simply amazing! He asks how do I want the car behave and he can do it! He himself owns a 996 GT3 and drive on track at least once a month, plus, his son is a Canadian Kart champion
.
Another funny thing is, after he test drove my MCS, he can tell it has a smaller pulley and intake.... What a genius.
and he has at least 20 years of racing experiences.
My MCS now is totally balance in corner, I am ready for Autox and track.

Congrats on the alignment. I'm looking forward to getting mine in now. Not really for the track, but need to buy some new tires and don't want to wear out quickly. I don't know how instantly improved handling can't be at the top of my list, but it's been a while now! Just installed the control arms so I'm in good shape.
Thanks
so far I find the car drive more balance than before, very neutral though corners, a bit oversteer (could cause by the rear sway bar) and overall I love it.
My alignment report shows:
Front:
Caster: Left > 3.8, Right > 4.1
Camber:Left > -0.6, Right > -0.9 (No front camber plate yet
)
Toe: Both left and right are 0
SAI:Left > 12 , Right 12.4
Rear
Camber: Left > -1.5, right > -1.5
Toe: both left and right are 0
It costs me 160$Can , which I find is a bit expensive, but they definately are one of the best alignment garage I can find in Montreal (Or probably Canada
), imagine the day I did my alignment, there were 10 Porsches are waiting for their work.... Include few "track" Porsche 911 and 944 turbo. And the owner's yellow 996 GT3 is just amazing! Hope he will let me try it one day.

Here these are the BEFORE numbers:
Front:
Caster: Left > 3.8, Right > 4.1
Camber:Left > -0.6, Right > -1.1
Toe: Left > 9/32, Right > 13/32
SAI:Left > 12 , Right 12.4
Rear
Camber: Left > -2.1, right > -1.8
Toe: Left > 1/2, right > 1/4
As for the acceleration, I don't feel any different. Yesterday, when I try to do a quick tight L turn, which I used to find unstable, now it feels more stable except with a little bit oversteer, and I can hear the rear tires were screaming. So far, I like the setting, and I may try another setting that another NAM member suggested. (somehow like 1/16 for front toe and 0 at the rear.... Not sure...)
