Engine Damper

Ok, FLAME on if you must , but what does the engine damper do? I posted here because I think it works with the suspension system, anyone what to help a guy out?

I see the group buy option, but not sure if this mod is needed for normal highway driving.

thanks,

well yes like what Kenchan said. since the Dampner is to slow down the speed of the travel the engine is rotating on its mounts. Currently under hard breaking and accelleration the engine will grain power and rotate but not transfer that power to the wheels until it hits the end of its rotation and hit like a hammer causing jerkyness and extreme stress on all parts. By dampning this it will cause more power to the wheels sooner, smoother and more leanier (ok spelling sucks). Which will cause less stress and problems down the road. The other option is going to Poly bushings. Which will cause less stress on engine componets but you will have more Vibration you can feel since nothing is isolating the engine from the rest of the car anymore. Hope this helps some
