Info about H&R Sport springs!

I'm thinking about getting some H&R sport springs.
But after some research it's something i dont understand.

H&R say that the car will lower Approx. 1" in the front and 0.75" back.
But tirerack say that the car will lower Approx. 1.3" in the front and 1.2" back. http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...6.3&perfCode=S

And when i look at the pic's of the springs, they don't look the same.

www.H&Rsprings.com

www.tirerack.com

Can someone solve this "problem" for me?

thanks!

I think that you are looking at H&R's standard springs (the racing springs are red) for the MINI, and Tire Rack's generic H&R pic (I don't think those are MINI springs shown). But on to your Q: how low will you go? I've found H&Rs to drop your car more than advertised. Plan on a level closer to Tire Rack's figures, some of this drop can be recouped by using polyurethane bushings as they don't compress as much as the stock rubber ones.

Okay, I see.

30mm would be nice, I ordered H&R sport springs today. the salesman said that the car will be lowerd aprox. 30mm. (not lower than that i hope!) If it does, will it rub with 215/35-18??

I used to have H&R with 215/35/18. Rubbing will depend on your wheel offset, and camber adjustments. With SSR comps, I only rubbed in the rear over very sharp dips, going very fast, just a little chirp. I am currently running even lower with the Megans, (23 7/8" to fender lip) -1.9 rear camber, no rubbing at all on street or track.

so, there is not a solid figure on the exact drop of these springs? cause i'm looking at alittle over 1", so the 1.2" would be nice.

I don't remember the exact dimension to the fender lip when I had HR installed, but I am sure it was over 24" maybe 24.5 or so. You could measure your stock height, and get an idea of the difference. Make sure you take into account the wheel tire combo you are running, and compare that to the 215/35/18 Paradas I have. With this info, you could predict pretty close to what you might have. I still have my HR springs, perfect shape, PM me if you are interested in a deal.

My sig photo is with HR springs and stock dampers.
