Strut bar bargains

Some of you may have seen my posts in this thread about finding a strut bar for my MCC.

My search may be over! Now I just have to decide whether to get this one:

02 03 04 05 MINI COOPER S FRONT STRUT TOWER BAR NEW !
$29.00 + $12.00 Shipping

Or should I get this:

STRUT TOWER BAR FRONT 02 03 04 05 06 MINI COOPER S
$19.99 + $25.00 Shipping

Be sure to scroll down for the seller's $4.99 Integra and Evo strut bars!

The only question is... will I have to remove the hood liner?

All I can say is you get what you pay for... I was quite happy to shell out $270 for my JCW then another $195 for my M7 and again $195 for my black m7...

I'm probably just crazy...

Don't bother, unless all you want is the bling factor. They are cheap with low grade metal. I bought one and gave it away for a christmas gift. However it doesn't look that bad installed. I feel that my m7 is a lot nicer and more functional. I have an 05 and didn't have to remove the head liner. Hope this helps! -- Johan

Was my humor was too subtle?

I hope no one thought I was actually considering getting one. I laughed when I saw them, and thought others would find it amusing. Basic rule of thumb: don't buy the strut bar if the shipping costs more than the bar itself.

You did not have any gap issues? I had to remove my liner for there to be no gap on the car.

if you really want one that works, do your homework. i had a good bar on my mini that i paid plenty for, but i took it off to go with the M7 bar because i wanted to address the mushroom problem as well. i know what everyone says about strut bars, but i swear that i can tell the difference with the M7 bar. does anyone want to buy a nice, gently used bar for cheap?

Your not the only one who feels a difference when they installed a strut bar on the mini! The m7 I bought made a nice difference.

i don't think it really matters. those bars are useless imho for street running
stock or near stock setup (like just springs and rear swaybar). get the
GB $9.99 and call it a day.
