Need Help! Suspension ?

I have H-sport spring, and I know they are some of the best for lowering and handling. But I am tired of the choppiness. The roads here in utah are not the best so I fell everything in my seat. However I do love the 1" drop. Is there any hope? Diffrent Springs? or should I just suck it up and go back to stock? All i really want is the 1" drop. Any help/ advice would be greatly appricated.

Nate,

Ideally, springs and dampers should be designed together. Anytime you mix components you run the risk of mis-matched spring cycles front to rear with poor damping control in addition.

Any suggestion is poking in the dark in my opinion, but you may want to try the Koni yellow adjustables.

Keep in mind some dampers(shocks) are not designed for lowering applications.
The stock dampers included.

If a drop is required and you want comfort as well, the Bilstein PSS9s are apparently a great set-up. I have no personal experience with these, but I've talked with a few here who have put plenty of street and track miles on these. There is a price for admission...

I do think the Koni Yellows would help... Or, Bilstein SP's if you want something even more firm. Unfortunately, the Koni FSD's aren't designed for lowered applications, or that would also be a good choice...

Many people have used the H-Sport + Koni Yellow setup with success - great street ride and awesome performance for autocrossing/track when you dial 'em up.

My car, with H&R springs and the OEM SS+ struts had a choppy ride, too. Swapping in some Bilstein SP's for the OEM struts made a world of a difference. Took out the choppiness!

Short wheelbase + aftermarket and unmatched dampers = choppy ride

I agree...I am on the Koni yellows, much better, but still a bit choppy.
I wish I had gone with the coilover set up, and may some day.
Like meb says there is a price for admission, either in $ or ride/handling quality.
But it all depends on what your reason for mods are. I will live with some discomfort for better handling in an autocross event. Plus my car is not a daily driver.

I went with the h-sports for exactly the same reason, and am just going to live with the choppy ride until I save up for some PSS9's--I think that is the only way to get the exact drop you want, and have some adjustability on ride comfort.

Well I have to use my car as a daily drive, I dont auto cross it, but once i a blue mon i like to hit a track.. I just wanted the 1 inch drop for looks. I dont really car about the added proformace end of the lowering springs. If my wallet chould handle it the PSS9's would be in the car but that is not an opion right now. Maybe its time for stock springs again. But M7 springs keep coming up in my head!!

The feedback I got was that the M7's were harsher than the h-sports.....

I know, it is tough to decide--even when you get someone's opinion--what they think is "harsh" might not be to you, and vice versa.

If the roads around utah are too rough, you might have to go back to stock for awhile.......
