Web Spoke weight?

Does anyone know how much the factory Web Spoke wheels weight? And how does that compare to the s-lites? The dealer told me that the web spoke is made by BBS and is a true 2 piece, very high quality wheel. Opionions??

Thanks

If BBS makes it, it'll be engraved in the wheel (inside). They're 2 pounds lighter than the S-anchors. High quality? That's debatable and relative. I hear most make a clicking sound when they roll. I considered them at the time of ordering, but opted out as I don't love the horseshoe look, and the weight isn't much of a savings for the cash. In the end I opted for BBS-made R99s, at 3 pounds under the S-anchors, and only $300 more vice $500 (at my dealer). I would have preferred the Bullets to save more weight and I like the "Hotwheels" look. But my dealer didn't have a set on hand so I blinded my sensibilities with the R99s. They're OK...a bit harder to clean than some other OEM wheels. I'll get my money back at resale, so all is good.

See http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f...heel_tire_tech
for every tech spec you want to know about OEM wheels. Not sure who makes those but the dealer is probably right since I know the R90s are true 2 pieces BBS wheels and high quality.

The web spokes are about 22 pounds a piece! You can get some good weight savings if you go with a different rim. I went with rotas and I saved a total of 25 pounds!

I did the swap at the dealer for the Bullets. The Bullets are the lightest 17" wheels available from Mini. I think they look great! Classic Mini switched my tires to the Bullets free of charge (I bought the Bullets for $720...$225 per wheel minus 20%), and I sold my SLites to another NAM member for around $350. Obviously is cost a bit, but it was worth it.

I like the look of the webspokes and did some photochopping to decide....at the time I liked the Bullets better and the lower weight sealed the deal.

Wow, I see that I started this thread before I bought the car!! I ended up with the Web spokes. I like the look of the wheel, but now I'm thinking of getting some Enkei Racing PFO1's.

So the question for those in the know, how much of a difference will I notice losing about 6.4 pounds of unsprung weight per corner?
