My autocrossing buddy runs KMacs, and I run the Ireland street/race... the KMACs are ugly and require some tweaking and trimming to get them to work the right way, but man do they work...

Even so, bang-for-the-buck, the Ireland's are quite awesome I must say... half the price of the others out there and they do the same thing.

I just saw a set of the Helix camber plates and they are beautiful. Heavy, heavy duty. They might be a little more but that's the one I'm going for.

I have the RDR / Helix camber plates. Eric installed them about a year ago. Have the front suspension set to same specs as rear - 1.5 camber / 0.0 toe. Been to at least half a dozen track days and about 10K road miles with no adverse tire wear. Other then the camber plates, suspension is stock SS+.

Alan

p.s. car still has understear in the slow corners. next mod is adjustable rear swaybar.

How do the Ireland Engineering camber plates compare to the RDRs?

I read that the RDR/Helix plates use a polyurethane bearing. IE's street/race plates also use urethane. Anyone care to comment about noise/vibration from either of these plates?

bump for updates from those who are running Ireland or RDR. How are your units holding up? Any issues? Anything new on the market that we need to consider?

Helix plates raise the car 5mm according to Eric at Helix.

Has anyone installed these? I am interested in purchasing but Helix will not supply instructions and I hate to go in blind.

I am not afraid of any mechanical job, I have any tool needed, and have installed M7 springs, but I don't know what tricks might be necessary for installation and setup of the plates.

If you installed your springs, you'll have no problem installing these. It took me less than an hour and I'm slow

H-Sport has a new edition that is a LOT better than the originals. Perhaps those will work for you.
