Question about susp comparing MC to MCS

On the front struts on my MC that i just put new springs on I noticed that the rubber boot on one side had the stop and then 4 inches or so further ahead there was a notch in metal boot part of the strut . . .

On the MCS does the spring sit all the way down to the notch in the metal? or does it have the notch in the rubber that keeps the spring back further??

not sure if that paints an accurate picture but im wondering because if the S sits in the strut then I'm going to take the struts back out and dremel the rubber boot to allow the spring to go all the way into the strut notch so the front will sit the half inch or whatever lower . . .

right now how it sits on the H&R springs there is a touch more space in the front wheel wells then there is in the back . . . . the car overall is still raked with the front lower BUT the space from tire to wheel well is a touch larger . . . . know what im sayin?

Thanks for any info

(sorry if this was a topic i missed in my searching)
