Do any of the high-milers have any data points on how long the suspension components are lasting? I'm approaching 75,000 miles soon. When things degrade slowly, I have a hard time noticing that anything has changed.

 

I don't know how you drive, but i would (just my personal thing) replace the dampers at about 50k miles or so at the least. It's a good excuse to the wife
to get some aftermarket damper on there.

 

My 05 JCW has over 22k miles and is beginning to feel a little less composed. I would certainly agree with Kenchan; at 50k for sure!

 

Dampeners are pretty good items now. I'd test, and see if they've degraded. I have over 50k on mine, and they still work fine. But I may use the excuse anyway.... I'd love something a bit more aggressive to go with the other changes to the car....

also, lifetimes are inversly proportional to speed and number of really big potholes you hit!
