Ah, given what Neil said, that makes sense! Those collars seem to really conform to the MINI... Thanks.

EDIT/Question: With this bar, and others like it, is there a provision to lengthen or shorten it in order to get a desirable load or pre-load?

Hi Tony.....

This bar is one that I been working on for the last couple of months, and should be ready for prime time in a month or so.....

That's a good question. My M3 bar is cylindrical and has threads and locknuts at either end to adjust fit. And I certainly do have to adjust it for installation depending on whether and how the car was jacked up, which probably says all you need to know about the need for it!

I have no idea to what extent that applies to the Mini, but there must surely be some degree of car-to-car build variation to allow for.

That M7 prototype bar looks pretty nice to me, definitely a candidate.

Peter:

Will the m7 brace be able to clear stock/Dinan/JCW air boxes? By the fact that the ECU cover looks stock (and is cleared by the bar), it seems to me that is should clear the intakes. Just curious.

Oh, and for everyone here, what's the projected $$$?

Yes the brace will clear most air boxes....even the AGS

The price is estimated to be between $ 189.00- $190.00

We are changing the finish to Brushed mounting plates with a polished
cross brace with our logo in the center....very tasty if I might say.

They should be available in the first week of May.

Will the M7 bar be able to fit an MC? If not, will there be a STB available?

Please say so...im looking to get one as well, and was considering the Dinan, though I don't know if it will fit an MC.

TIA

I do think it works.....not sure as we mostly make parts for the "S"

I'm sure someone on the board can help out and give us an answer.
