Can I borrow a Rear Koni sa Shock for MCS?

Anyone have a rear Koni single adjustable shock that I can borrow? Leda will match its characteristics if they can get one and I don't want to buy one for them to copy. My plan is to use front Konis and rear Ledas which can be adjusted from the bottom. Thanks.

In the past some poeple have posted that they removed their Konis. Can I borrow a rear one? I'll pay a deposit. Thanks.

Why don't you ask Leda to buy a damper from Koni so they service your account? Seems a bit backward. I'm also sort of surprised that they're no 'up' on the competition...

Call True Choice 800-388-8783 and ask to speak with Greg or Frank - Greg first. True Choice is the only company authorized to re-build and modify Koni dampers. I've worked with these guys in the past with two other cars. This is their busy season; they are getting ready for the first events and so, may not have lots of time. Be very specific with your questions with regards to the Koni damping. They may be able to give you the rates over the phone. My dampers were for a different application, so they won't help. I just threw four away.

By the way, True Choice will build you completely custom dampers if you know what you are doing.

Thanks, I like Konis and have had good experiences with them and was aware that companies can convert them to DA as well as re-work them but one of the adjustments would still be on the top of the shock which is inaccessible in the rear. I don't know if they'll want to give me info for a competitor to use.

I remeber reading somewhere that one of our sponsors pre-sets the rear Koni based upon their testing. Obviously that removes some of the reasoning for the purchase.

My last koni dampers were re-valved to SST - show room stock - to work with a set of 400lb linear rate Eibachs. They controlled the springs really well. Very stiff set-up. You can also have True Choice make your dampers adjustable for bound and rebound. You can ask them to shorten the damper body. You can ask for almost anything...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Double adjustable SST valving ran about $2,000.00 four years ago, for four dampers. $500 each.

I don't want to spend more money for shocks I want to spend less and one STILL would have one adjustment at the top where it is inaccessible.

I'm now told that LEDA shocks won't work with the MINI springs. The shock body diameter is too large.
