Suspension POWERFLEX Tranny Mount inserts PFF5-122 Question
POWERFLEX Tranny Mount inserts PFF5-122 Question
For those who've installed these on the late version R53's, JCW and GP1's, have you noticed the loose fit or gap between the yellow inserts and the side walls of the bracket? The PFF5-122 inserts are supposed to be used with bushing p/n #22 31 6 754 422, not to be confused with PFF5-108.
p.s.: I checked with Powerflex Tech Support and they contacted their engineers. The response was that the space I observed is perfectly acceptable. They explained it's to minimize NVH. What they didn't explain is that there's no space when PFF5-108 are installed in the appropriate vehicles. I guess NVH is acceptable there. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
