Suspension PowerFlex Gearbox Mount Clarification Needed
PowerFlex Gearbox Mount Clarification Needed
I apologize in advance if I missed a thread that addresses this issue.
Background: My 06 MCS hydraulic engine mount, without any indications, catastrophically failed.
Circumstance dictates I have to replace it myself, ugh!
Hey, at least it made it 27k!
The plan: To replace the engine mounts and the gearbox mount with powerflex polyurethane bushings (noted exception to the OEM hydraulic mount replacement until the aftermarket non-hydraulic is released) and to add a TSW damper. Not to mention the serpentine belt due to fluid from the mount.
The missing piece: I am confident on the install but I have failed to garner one specific piece of info. I am aware that the powerflex polyurethane gearbox bushing is 'squeezed' into place, BUT I fail to see what orientation the bushings need if any. They are designed to fill the voids but the two pieces are different shapes, which one goes where and how do they align with the so called voids?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

It doesn't really matter which one you put on the front or back of the mount. I tend to put the larger one on the backside closer to the firewall. It will work either way.
