SuspensionSprings, struts, coilovers, sway-bars, camber plates, and all other modifications to suspension components for Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs.
I just installed a set of B14's on my '04 R53 yesterday.
Love the ride right out of the box.
Having been under the car today I happened to notice a nut and hex key bolt at the very bottom underneath the front strut/shock.
By any chance would this be a damping adjustment? Bilstein makes no reference to damping adjustability for the B14.
So I can't imagine or assume it should not be tampered with.(?)
I have no experience with these coilovers other than reading their product descriptions, but that doesn't look like an adjustment **** to me, it looks more like it's holding the strut together.
It's the B16 set that has adjustable compression and/or rebound damping. That is the ~$800 difference in the price of the 2 sets. A price I could not justify for my needs at this time.
Well I kinda knew it wasn't a damping adjustment. Just wishful thinking that FCP may have sent me the wrong struts by mistake @ghostwrench -Yeah, totally agree. 'couldn't find justification for +$$ for my dd either.
